2021 Jeep Cherokee
Power Under the Hood
There are three main engine options with the 2021 Jeep Cherokee. At the base level, there's a 2.4L gas model making 180 horsepower and 171lb-ft of torque, paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive only.
Moving up the trim levels brings the all-wheel drive option into play, along with a 3.2L V6 gas mill making a much heftier 271 hp and 239lb-ft. At the very top end of the range, the 2.0L intercooled turbo engine offers excellent off-road potential, with its 270 horsepower and 295lb-ft of twist for agile performance under heavy loads and in difficult conditions.

Improved Off-Road Handling
The Cherokee's off-road capability is improved even further by the optional locking rear differential, along with five selectable drive modes to optimize traction for great handling over a wide range of surfaces. The suspension is also tuned to an off-road bias, although it still provides a stable feel for smooth highway driving.
And for longer trips into the deeper wilderness, the Cherokee's maximum towing capacity of up to 2,040kg is ample for camping gear, dirt bikes, kayaks, and all your other hauling needs.
Interior and Infotainment
The Cherokee's spacious cabin can seat five adults comfortably, offering 104cm of legroom in the front row and an impressive 102cm in the rear. The sense of upscale comfort is boosted further by the range of advanced technology in the cabin. Essential driving information is supplied by a 3.5" display in the lower trims, or a supersized 7" digital gauge cluster at the middle to higher end.
Every 2021 Cherokee is fitted with an infotainment touchscreen running the advanced Uconnect software, with a 7" display in the lower trims giving way to an 8.4" one at higher levels. Smartphone integration is handled as standard through Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, while navigation and a Wi-Fi hotspot facility are both available options.
Safety Systems
One of the main highlights of the 2021 Cherokee update is the extra amount of active safety systems on offer. Standard and available highlights include forward collision warnings, emergency braking, lane departure warnings and correction, blind spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alerts, rain-sensing windshield wipers, and more.
