Engines and Performance
All 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee models are available in two engines. You can choose between the V6 3.6L (293hp and 260 lb-ft) engine or the more powerful V8 5.7L (357 hp and 390 lb-ft) engine. The nine-speed transmission Active-Drive II system will allow you to tow a maximum load of 2,000 pounds, and all SUVs will be available in four-wheel drive.
The lower three trims come equipped with Jeep’s signature Quadra-Trac I system. The upper three models have Quadra-Trac II. Jeep’s Quadra-Trac technology is a game changer when off-roading as it keeps the tires in contact with uneven terrain when you’re off-roading at more extreme angles. The added electronic limited-slip differential further assists the vehicle with traction management, reducing wheelspins by applying needed torque to the wheels to get more traction.
