2023 Jeep Wrangler Review, Pricing, and Specs

Overview

The number one off-road vehicle brand has a new Wrangler for 2023, and this car does not stray too far from its 2022 predecessor. It is solid, durable, and competent in the city and the desert. The new Wrangler also has a hybrid option in its lineup. With plenty of legroom, removable doors and impressive towing capacity, outdoor adventures will come calling. This 2023 Wrangler has a limited-edition purple colour and a new grey colour. There are extensive customization options on the new Wrangler. For a limited time, Jeep will release a Wrangler Freedom edition with a military-themed exterior, a steel front bumper and an American flag decal.

Performance

The new Jeep Wrangler comes with a 3.6-L V6 engine and a six-speed manual transmission. It comes with 285hp and is the most popular configuration. You can opt for the eight-speed automatic transmission, and this configuration will carry an added cost. The Wrangler can tow up to 1,587 kg and go from 0 – 100km in 7.5 seconds. The fuel economy for the 2023 Jeep Wrangler is 11.8L/100km for combined city and highway driving.

Interior and Storage

The Jeep’s narrow body contributes to its off-road capability but limits its cargo capacity, and the rear seats can fold neatly into the floor, giving you extra space. The layout is intuitive and user-friendly; there is a practical range of adjustments between the seat and steering wheel. The rear seats recline a bit and have their own air vents. The cabin is quiet on rough terrains and the highway, and the hardtop roof is quieter than the soft top option. Sky One-touch Power-Top enables the roof to be opened or closed with the touch of a button.

Technology and Infotainment

The Uconnect 4 system is compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, with a choice of 17cm or 21cm touchscreen. Wireless connectivity allows you to stream music, make calls and talk all hands-free. The forward-facing off-road camera allows you to see upcoming obstacles, while the rear cross-path detection feature detects vehicles in your blind spot zones. Standard Electronic Stability, hill-start assist and electronic roll mitigation are available features on the 2023 Jeep Wrangler.
