2023 RAM 1500 | Review, Pricing, and Specs

Overview

The 2023 RAM 1500 comes from the 5th generation of RAM released in 2019. It has impressive towing capabilities and a tough and rugged exterior to withstand challenging terrain. There are significant safety features like rear cross path detection surround view cameras. You can haul and tow with confidence with this RAM truck. This truck exceeds expectations in all areas of performance. In continuation of last year's Limited 10th Anniversary Edition, there’ll be a 2023 RAM 1500 Limited Elite Edition.

Performance and Capability

The new RAM 1500 can tackle any off-road challenge with lifted suspension and 83cm tires, and you won't feel the rocks as you crawl over them. The Selec-speed control feature comes standard on the Rebel trim, allowing you to maintain a consistent speed on different terrain slopes. The feature applies torque and brake pressure for you to focus on steering. The Ram is built on a high-strength steel frame with a towing capacity of 5,783kg and with a maximum payload of 1,043kg.

Interior and Comfort

The seating is in black leather paired with wood panel finishes. The car has excellent interior storage space in a big centre console, and you can also request hidden compartment spaces on the rear floor. The seats can fold up as one piece or in a 60/40 split to create even more cargo space. There’s minimal wind noise, especially in higher trims, and the car cushions bump on the road making the drive less jolty.

Safety

The RAM 1500 has six airbags in the cabin, and there’s adaptive venting technology, making the airbags react to occupant size. The large brake rotors ensure you can stop safely and in time, no matter what you’re hauling. Adaptive cruise control and park assist come standard on the 2023 RAM 1500. Forward collision alert mitigates the threat of a collision, while pedestrian emergency braking protects the driver and pedestrians. The trailer has its light check, tire pressure monitoring, and rear-cross detection.

Infotainment and Technology

The RAM's media centre has auxiliary ports, a wireless charging station, four ultra-fast USB ports, and an in-car 4G Wi-Fi hotspot you can stream, check your socials and send e-mails. You can even access the Wi-Fi 15m from the car. The Uconnect 5 system has a 30cm touchscreen with fantastic 3D graphics, and you can connect up to two wireless phones on the system.

Trim Levels and Prices

The new 2023 RAM 1500 comes in seven primary trim levels, the entry-level Tradesman, Big Horn, Rebel, Laramie, Longhorn, Limited, and TRX. Based on the quality and durability of the car, the price is still competitive. Starting price for the 2023 RAM 1500 Tradesman is $36,820 and goes up to $79,355 for the TRX starting price.
